Dr. Murad Zaman
City Place Dental (MB)

Nominated for Unity

Eager to contribute to the recent growth and resurgence of the downtown Winnipeg community, Dr. Murad Zaman and his partners opened Cityplace Dental Group in 2019 in the heart of the city. He feels immense pride knowing they’ve created a great place to practice and have fun while collaborating with a team that feels like family.

Murad graduated with a DMD degree from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in physiotherapy. He has always been drawn to healthcare as
“it’s inherently rewarding” and is proud of the quality care dentistry provides using the most reliable techniques, technology, and materials.

Murad finds it equally challenging and rewarding to find solutions for his patients. Understanding that financial barriers can be difficult to navigate, his team strives to tailor solutions to patients’ unique situations and focus on preventative care to help avoid costly outcomes. “Whether relieving a toothache or completing a beautiful cosmetic case, the patient’s appreciation is an amazing reward,” he said.

Throughout his eight years in practice, Murad adheres to the integral value of unity. “Unity is a very important part of the dental community, especially as we work as a team to welcome back our patients that may not have felt safe visiting during the pandemic,” he explained. “I think this is a great opportunity to move forward as a team and create an accepting and welcoming environment for everyone.”

When asked what advice he has for other dentists looking to grow, he offers, “Never pass up an opportunity to collaborate with other members of the dental community. Whether it’s a specialist, lab technician, or another dentist, we can learn so much from one another’s experience.”
