Hailing from a small town in Ontario, Dr. Chelsea Mansfield grew up curious and ambitious with a keen interest in dentistry from an early age. Upon graduating with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2012, she practiced dentistry in Colorado for a year before returning to Canada and making a name for herself on the West Coast. In 2017, Chelsea found her new home at Carrington Dental in the Okanagan valley.
With nearly a decade of experience under her belt, Chelsea has a deep respect and admiration for the field of dentistry. “Harmonizing art and science is a beautiful thing; being able to get people out of pain and create healthy smiles is extremely gratifying,” she said.
Chelsea finds it equally challenging and rewarding to stay current on the latest clinical methods, technology, and evidence-based practice. A firm believer in lifelong learning, she constantly seeks new opportunities to enhance her knowledge and expand her skillset. For her next endeavour in dentistry, she will pursue a residency program in endodontics, commencing this summer. Upon reflection of a successful dental career thus far, she believes “dreams fuel goals, and hard work yields success.”
When asked what advice she has for other dentists looking to grow, she offers, “Surround yourself with virtuous people who inspire and challenge you. Be brave enough to try new things, be patient with learning curves, and always be your toughest critic. You never know what you’ll end up being good at and love doing.”
