Marie Aileen has over 25 years of dental experience, having worked as a Dentist with post graduate specialties in Orthodontics, Periodontics and Neuromuscular Dentistry in the Philippines before moving to Canada. Dentistry is Marie Aileen's passion and not just viewed as a career. She engages in continuous training, professional development and education enabling her best to her patients.
Marie Aileen's desire is to produce highly skilled clinicians which is being recognized by multiple dental practices wherein the fresh graduates that she taught in both theory and clinical are being praised on how skilled, confident and competitive they are.
As an educator, Marie Aileen loves to share all of her knowledge and skills to her students to achieve their goals and to succeed in their careers.
Vera has provided excellent education to dental assistants and dental hygienists for over 20 years. She has provided innovative learning and distance education to many students to ensure graduating students are ready for practice. She is inspiring.
During the COVID shutdowns this Spring, Nova Scotia had 8 emergency clinics and Dalhousie Dentistry was one such clinic. Ben spent tireless hours treating emergency patients that could not be treated anywhere else in the Province and guided the dental school through this toughest of times. He became one of the spokespersons for Nova Scotia dental health care and often collaborated with the Nova Scotia Dental Board.
He is also a practicing oral surgeon so he has many plates that are full and busting at the seams. Ben shone brightly during these emergency times and continues to do so.
This spring, during the COVID-19 shutdown Chris spent tireless hours treating emergency patients. He also trained most of the other emergency clinicians approved by the Nova Scotia Dental Board during the pandemic closures. He and his GPR team were the ones that provided much of the information that Nova Scotia dentists relied on to develop pandemic protocols.
