Trista Ball
Apple Dental Care (AB)

Nominated for Caring

Thanks to a first-place science project titled “Tubular Teeth Cleansers”, 12-year-old Trista Ball knew dentistry would be her path. Now working alongside her childhood dentist at Apple Dental Care in Edmonton, she’s thankful for the continued support from her peers that has contributed to her personal and professional growth.

Adapting to new situations comes easy for Trista, as moving from place to place around the Edmonton area was a regular part of her youth. Similarly, now in her career in the dental field, she recognizes that the challenges change each day which requires her to quickly adapt to various personalities while understanding situations that aren’t in her control. “I’m so proud of staying true to myself and being recognized for something I feel comes so naturally to who I am,” she explained. “I have an amazing support system by my side; my beautiful family, incredible friends, and a supportive team.”

Trista finds helping people to be the most rewarding part of her job. “I could not imagine a world without caring people, and I know I’ve done my job right if there is laughter and smiles in my operatory,” she said. “I can only hope to accomplish and continue giving my whole self to our patients who need my expertise and positive vibe.”

Nearly two decades into her career at Apple Dental Care, Trista remains passionate about taking the time to get to know her patients on a personal level. “Every patient is the main character in their own book. It’s important to never judge a book by its cover and continue to be a passionate, caring, and joyful page in their story.”
